Isn’t he gorgeous!! This handsome fellow was outside my office window this morning. He was pecking at the eaves trough. My dog thought someone was at the door because it was so loud, LOL!
I've never in my life seen this bird before. We get a lot of woodpeckers in my area but this one is new. I looked it up and I'm pretty sure it's a red-breasted sapsucker.
I hope he comes back tomorrow!

Oh wow Melissa, what a gorgeous bird! That red is incredible! We do have a lot of birds around the house and I love looking at them or hearing them sing but no woodpeckers here in the Netherlands.

He is gorgeous. We have yellow-bellied sapsuckers in our area. It's a very good chance that he is a sapsucker because they are known for drumming on metal. Just a quirk of theirs I guess.
