In this tutorial I will demonstrate how to use the Limitless Limbs rubber stamps to make a Christmas tree. (Scroll down to the earlier post I made today to see the cards the DT girls made with these stamps.)
.jpg)
First, I adhered my stamps to a sheet of EZMount foam and then cut them out. Then I put the stamps in a CD case to keep them together and organized. This set would require 2 CD cases to hold all of the stamps.

I chose the tree that I wanted to decorate and placed it on an acrylic block. The EZMount foam on the back of the stamp automatically sticks to the acrylic block. I printed the circle on my paper using my printer and I plan to cut it out eventually.
.jpg)
I stamped the tree so that the branches are contained within the circle.
.jpg)
I stamped the pot onto a piece of designer paper.
.jpg)
I cut out the pot and it will be glued on top of the base of the tree.
.jpg)
I stamped the tree again onto a piece of designer paper. I will be covering up the top part of the tree with the circle so I only needed to make sure that the bottom looked good.
.jpg)
I set the pot on top of the base of the tree to see how it would look.
.jpg)
I stamped 2 more trees on a piece of scrap paper so that I can test out where I am going to put my decorations.
.jpg)
On my scrap piece of paper with the two trees, I stamp the holly leaves several times to get used to the position of the stamp on my acrylic block and to see how it would look on the trees. If you look at the tree on the left, the stamped holly images are not quite touching the tree. I took careful notice of how to line up the stamp with the tree limbs while I was stamping. If you look at the tree on the right, you can see that the holly are much closer to the branches. This is the look I was going for.

Now I stamped the holly on the good tree.

After practicing on the scrap trees, I stamped the Christmas lights on the good tree.
.jpg)
After practicing on the scrap trees, I stamped the Christmas ornaments on the good tree.
.jpg)
I stamped out 3 extra ornaments because I plan to cut two of them out and paste them on the tree.
.jpg)
Here is a look at my practice trees.
.jpg)
I coloured in the stamped images using pencil crayons but you could use markers, watercolours or whatever you like best. I also coloured 2 extra ornaments and 1 star and cut them out. They will be pasted on top of the tree after I put the whole card together.
.jpg)
I cut out the tree top in the circle and then placed all of the items on the card to see how it would look. Then stamped 3 snowflakes along the side of the card.
I had so much fun creating this card! What I love most about this stamp set is that each time you use it you will create a unique tree.
If you have any questions about these stamps please leave a comment in this post.
Happy Stamping!
